Default Fog lights

From what I have read the connection harnesses for the factory fogs are already there. Out under the bumper and behind the dash. Does anyone know the wire colors and what they are, hot wire, ground, lead, etc... I'm adding some projector beam fogs and would like to hook into the factory leads. Should work fine seeing that the fogs I bought are 12volt system and 55 watts same as factory. Can I asumme on the factory fogs that if you leave the switch on they come on when you turn the lights on like all other cars I know of.

Thanks, jjp

Default factory fogs

Does anyone have the instructions for installing the factory fogs. I'm sure I can figure this out with them. Also does anyone know where to get the factory fog switch.

well i would try the dealer for the switch if you want the stock look....otherwise you can go to loews, they have switches that fit perfectly into the cluster under the dash.

thats the oem installation guide.

you will need a relay along with the switch, if you intend to use the factory wiring. the relay is not a typical generic part you would likely find at autozone or something so you will either need to get it from the dealer as well, or jerry rig a standard relay. if you do the standard installation, the fogs will only light up when the headlights are on.

Would I be correct in the assumption that they will only light up if the headlights are on, but not in high beam mode.

If so I'll need to think this one out.

My plan was to have them on all the time, with parking, main beam and high (if the switch is on)

As the ones I'm getting are "driving lights"....cough cough no seriously officer that's what it said on the box.
