Default Foot well LEDs.

I was thinking about putting some LEDs in to light up my foot wells. I want to have them turn on when I unlock the car and turn off when I close the door. Does any one have any idea what steps I need to take in order for this to be accomplished?

Sorry if this is a noob question or a duplicate post. Searched but was unable to find definitive answers.

if you wire them to the cig lighter, they will only be on when your ignition is on.....the way your wanting sounds like you could wire them to a ceiling light...you could probably wire them to a single light wire if they are all leds....if the interior lights have a disgnated fuse it may be easier.

One is for the mirror that lights up, the other is for the door sills. One lights up with the unlock, the other with the door.

Between those two install guides, I'm sure you could figure something out.

Thanks that helped. I was not sure which wires I could splice into to get the lights to do what I wanted.
