Front speaker mounting depth
I'm working with some woofers for the front doors with a tough mounting depth and am having a little trouble.
I'm using Resonant Engineering XXX Mids, which have a mounting depth of about 3.5"
Add in the thickness of the front baffle and the excursion of the cone (13mm Xmax = roughly .51")
So total, i will need slightly over 4" to work with, from rolled down window in the door to door panel.
There are about 2" to work with between the window and the door sheet metal.
So basically, I need a baffle of 1.5" thickness, and need to have a little over .5" left between the baffle and the door panel...
I don't think that's happening with a mounting baffle already 1.5" thick.
So basically, to shorten the reason for this post a little....
What are some creative ways people have mounted deep deep speakers?
(Other than selling these and getting other ones, I've already heard that solution).

but what I have to worry about with kicks is space, and I dont think I'm comfortable with a kick panel that allows space for a 3.5" deep speaker plus grill, almost 7" in diameter, plus a 1" tweeter, all at my feet. That would take up considerable space in my eyes.
