You dont have to change resistors for any color on the gauges, only on the HVAC. Some like their gauges brighter, which is the only time you need to change them. I have never had a customer ask me to make them brighter.. some have even said they would like them dimmer with blue. So that is a matter of preference.

I highly recommend against using pink leds. Pink is not a true led color, it is created by applying a phosphorescent material to the lens (true leds actually emit the correct wavelength, even with a clear lens, due to their chemical makeup) and are known to fade over time. One user on here even tested this and posted up pictures of the color change.

The best way to perform a pink swap is to use white leds and then apply a pink translucent film to the backs of the gauges. This will last much longer and still look good. paperstreetplastics on ebay sells the adhesive backed film in larger quantities. If you have trouble finding what you need, hit me up at engifineer@gmail.com and I can help further.

Its not recommended because engifneer created the HVAC modification to match the brightness of the gauges. Plus the brighter they are the more distracting they may be. but other than that there are no issues with doing the resister swap. it's all preference.

if have you seen that two toned colored led swap in person, like they put that colored film under the gauge face and use all whitel leds? they are not as bright as the ones that uses the actually led color soldered.. i would want them brighter.. with an ordinary led swap is sure is not necessary

if there is no problem with resistor swap then ill do it then..

There is no issue, and I dont really recommend against it, just stating that isnt necessary. If you want them brighter, then go for it.

Changing the resistors looks HOT on two tone swaps. On standard single color swaps, I would not bother.
