Gauging interest in fiberglass boxes...
Hey folks, i have been getting into fiberglass recently and was seeing if there would be any interest in making a few boxes to sell here. Seeing if there is any potential here and if anyone would be interested in getting one. I am not making any current promises but if there seems to be a demand i might be interested in making some.
Let me know if you're interested, it would be a carpeted box similar to the bazooka one and fit in either the passenger or driver side trunk space. Let me know what everyone thinks.
Thanks

simple supply and demand (economics)... if you price them right and save us diy'rs some time and energy ... i would buy a set... even though iam currently in the process of building my own... although i have been for 4 months now... work actually ceased at the start of the cold months... LOL
Basically: right price! -sell ALOT!!!

Yes, I'd be interested in a box like you describe (similar to the bazooka) for the driver's side. I'd actually settle for an empty bazooka tC enclosure if someone wanted to sell one at a good price.
please check out bassforms.com everyone, their stuff is really great and they just got in a big shipment of tC boxes.
I got mine for $200 but that's because me and the owner were able to meet up and do a person-person exhchange

Thanks for the feedback guys. I am almost done with the one i was making for myself, i am going to start finishing it soon. If i sold them i would probably sell them for like 150 carpeted. Thanks again
If you can do something similar to the the design in this post: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=152256
i will purchase it from you. Thanx!

Yeah folks i have just finished my prototype and carpeted it tonight. I will take pictures tomorrow and post them when i have some daylight. I will say that carpeting was definitely the hardest part of the entire project and it was my first time. The front which is the only visible portion of box looks great but the back has seams all over, I will post pics of the entire thing and i am considering redoing the carpet since hindsight is 20/20 i have some ideas that might make the process much cleaner and neater. so tomorrow and thanks everyone for your interest.
Also if anyone has any suggestions on carpeting techniques i would be glad to hear them. i have built several boxes in the past but this is the first fiberglass one so keep that in mind when i post the pictures.

Also just to give a bit of background i made my mold with about 10 square feet of fiberglass mat and made sure it was extremely hard, then a two coats of bondo, fiberglass filled body filler. I sanded it all until it was pretty smooth, not like butter since i planned on carpeting. It looks great and fits snug as a bug, and the right side seat reclines all the way past the box. I will include that in the pictures tomorrow. Thanks again folks.
Here we go...

This was the first attempt at carpeting. large nasty seams and all.

and here too...
So i used my learned techniques to re do the carpet and had much fewer and much cleaner seams:

The bottom:

and front:

I got it down to like five seams only on the edges. I figured that these were the best looking, and since they wont be visible it won't be a problem at all. let me know what everyone things

Also in the first picture there is a small "bump" in the carpet. This was before i re carpeted it and that bump no longer exists. Thanks everyone, and i will measure the airspace as soon as i can get some packing peanuts, but it seems somewhere between .6 and 1 cubic foot for sure.
Also sorry for the delays, i just finished the box today and i have been juggling this project between school and work, thanks for your patience everyone.
