Default Getting Clifford Matrix RSX 3.5 alarm system installed

I went by a local store today to ask about alarm systems. They recommended I get the Clifford Matrix RSX 3.5 system. They said it's the best available. They quoted me $500 for the system and installation. Is this a good price? Would I be better off trying to find it online somewhere and then paying for just the install?

you would be better off purchasing it from a reputable alarm/car audio shop.

in the houston area, you can get one for a little less than $300 installed!

Wow, only $300 installed? That sucks for me I guess. I'd sure love to save $200 if I could.
