Default a good FM Ipod transmitter

Hi, I have a 2005 tc and I can't seem to find a good FM transmitter for my Ipod. All the ones I buy play with static and I just return them. Does anyone know of a good FM transmitter thats works well in the tc?

Thanks

I personally think FM transmitters are a waste... sometimes they work well enough but at best they are only FM quality which is between telephone quality and tape... that's right... tape is higher quality than FM radio.

If you can get even just an AUX headphone adapter to play your ipod over it's far superior.

That said, if you HAVE to use FM check your radio dial for empty stations, best if a station is empty and has NOT stations for at least 2 nothces each way on the dial so it's totally clean (just about impossible in a big city, usually doable in country areas) and note the channels you have that are totally interference free. Then make sure whatever FM transmitter you get supports those channels. Some only let you choose between a few preset channel options and some only do a small range like 87-96 hz or something.

This is why I love scions ipod integration. I used a transmitter in my old car and it was horrible and staticy. Sometimes other cars would pass with them also and I'd hear their music.

I disagree...I live in San Diego (big city) and have a monster FM transmitter and get no static and no problems, comes through crystal clear.

There's good FM transponders... But, you have to hook them up directly to the stereo, where the antenna goes in. You can find them at best buy, usually you hook up satellite radio this way, but it works with anything. Get one of those, they're around $20-50. When you turn your device on, it clears the channel for you so you're not competing with any other stations. Like I said, it goes directly into the antenna port on the back of the radio, so you'll have to pull it out for a second or two, then you'll be set to go. Just run the wire where you want it. I used this in my mom's highlander to get her some satellite radio. Good luck.
