Grounding Questions
Hey everyone Im planning on redoing my whole sound set up and I have a few questions for those that grounded their tCs.
1. What is the effect of having grounded the engine bay as far as soundquality and voltage?
2. What would the overall diffrence be if I just ground points around the enginebay versus doing the Big 3?
3. Would 4awg be safe to use for grounding?
4. For those that have grounded their systems, any noticeable diffrences? Do you think its over all worth it?
Thanks in advance!
FYI im running:
Pioneer Avic D3
Kicker CVR12 DVC with 600w RMS and 800w Pk
Alpine ARP-M650 400w RMS @ 4ohms / 600w @ 2ohms (not installed yet)
(I plan to run it at 2ohms.. i know its over the RMS but it shouldn't be to bad.)
5awg power cable (i know 5awg.. iono its what it said on the kit. but it looks as if its really 4) into a distributor and 8awg into the amp (only because 8 is what the amp takes.. it cant take 4).

grounding points around the engine? what is that? like an ebay ground kit? - no...
do the big 3. it will give you a better voltage, or at least a more constant voltage which should give you better sound quality cuz your amp wont be working so ineffectively. but the big3 is not directly connected to SQ.
for your stereo 4awg would be fine for the big 3.
