Default Harmonic_tC Sub Box, 1 BOX IN STOCK

OK, I have one box in stock all it needs is carpet on it, WHO WANTS IT? $280 shipped, please PM me asap

Ok Everyone, I have made updates on this thread! Please read through, and PM me if you want a box!!!!

I accept Visa, Matercard, and Discover. Once I get your PM i will give you the details of the next steps involved to get you box built

The box size is approx .6 cubic feet. I can make it for a 10" or 8" sub but no 12s. they are too big.

The box comes as pictured unless you want an 8" sub. It will have a terminal cup mounted, speaker wire run in the box, polyfill inside, and carpeted black. I will not cover them in vinyl, it takes alot more time to get finished right and i dont have the time for that.

for a price, $250 plus shipping($30).

Here is the back of the sub and the area you need to cut in order for this to work. This is the only way is to cut. It really isnt that bad either, im sure the peice you cut out can be reattached if you ever sell the car. Even still, the box only fits this car and none others so your better off just selling the box with the car

The order below is the order in which I will be fullfilling orders. If you are interested please PM your email address to me and I will send you the payment instructions

4/18 UPDATE: Ok everyone, the materials have been ordered....... They should be in by friday or early next week. The first box could be done as early as 4/24. A few items are on backorder but I will have all the materials needed to make the box, just not carpet it or put in the terminals. I will of course keep all of you posted.....

4/24 UPDATE: Most of the materials have been recieved. I am still waiting on the resin...The mold should be done by the end of the week so next monday I should have some boxes ready to ship!!

5/8 UPDATE: Ok, well after SEVERAL failed attmpts at making a mold I decided to make the boxes using my car to make each one until i can get the correct method for making a mold. It wasnt as easy as i thought. the mold stuff will be here this week but i am tired of making you all wait so that is the reason for me to get the boxes started at least by making them out of my car, which REAKS like resin.... I have updated the list below to show which boxes im building today. I will be working on more this week. I may have the first 5 boxes going out by the end of the week!!!

5/15 UPDATE: Well the cold and wet has put a damper on getting these out. I appologize for the delays! HOWEVER, I just boxed up "magnetic"s box and it will be going out in the morning!! I for one, am excited, haha. Its warming up this week so ill be able to get more out there. On a final note, the reason why magnetis is goin out before kennopees is because Kennopees is still curing.....

7/11 UPDATE: Ok, well i know its been awhile but im one day away from being totally caught up. I already have 2 boxes that I started so if you want one, now is the time to PM me so I can get your payment in. It should be no more than 2 weeks from payment that the box ships!

Thanks again everyone!

And remember, THEY ARE STILL FOR SALE!! PM me

not really. this box is a very easy drop in box. in order to get more space there would be a bit more work and wouldnt really be a drop in.

The drivers side is very cramped and does not have much room at all. Plus polyfill will help give a virtual airspace volume a little larger than physical volume

While I wholeheartedly understand that you'd like to make some decent profit on this, I personally think $250 is a bit too much. But then again, I'm not sure how much sweat you're putting into mass producing all of this...and it's your sale, not mine. hehe

But yeah, I'd be definitely interested in something like this for an 8. I'll check back when more interest is accumulated. Maybe my wallet will be big enough to pick one up from you. =)

I may be interested. I think I need a 10. I might have a 12 which in that case I wouldn't be interested.

Thats not bad at all. Just our of curiocity, why on the left side instead of the right?
Also, why not both sides?
That would be sweet!

I would prob be intrested for a 10".

would also be nice to see these offered for 2 Eu-700's from Elemental Design... .6 cu ft would be golden for 2 of those subs... would be too much for just one though

Guys,

If he's making that box out of fiberglass and taking all that time, $250 is WELL worth it. It's going to be infinitely better than the stock injection molded plastic bazooka tube. A shop would charge probably closer to $4-500 for something like that.

Unless you want something like the bazooka tube that's mass produced and made of the cheapest possible materials and NOT really a good enclosure, prepare to pay money for it.

I'm very interested in this design. Just what I've been looking for in terms of size and use of trunk space. I'll be checkin in to see how this goes. Also, I'm sorta in the area, so a pick-up would be cool if possible.

whoa, this brought a lot of attention!

im gonna do my best to answer all the questions.

First, thanks Mandos for explaining that. Each box will be hand built from a plaster mold that i would make based off of my box. So thats part of the cost. Like Mandos said, fiberglass is time consuming so the price stands.

The box can be pulled out very easily if need be. The cool part is that it fits so nice it hasnt moved out of the hole yet unless im pulling it out.

As for 2 ED subs, im sure i can whip something up but the price may go up $50. Plus i would need the subs to make sure of the fit since the box is very shallow in a few spots. Plus ill want to hear it! haha

The reasons why i put it on the drivers side is 1) No one else has (that ive seen), 2) looks better (IMO), and 3) because my amps are on the other side and i dont want my sub resting on my amps. At this point I will not make one for the pass side either.

Also one thing that you will want to know, is that in order to get the airspace needed I had to cut a small part of the trunk liner. Basically the box goes allll the way to the metal on the inside. But before this is 100% offical ill have pics of that for ya!

Once I get 10 peeps on here that say they are interested, I all i need is money to get this going (Im a married guy living on a cheap buget so i dont have lots of extra money, lol). It will take about 4 weeks max before i get all 10 shipped but after that it should only be a week to ship at most.

Any other questions?

i was looking into a custom fiberglass job similar to that.....ran alot more than $250 for labor and finished product not including subs of course....but i have a feeling more ppl on here just want some simple thump and don't want to pay $250 for an enclosure. but looks good!

how small is a small hole? if we don't cut a hole will the sub just be pushed forward a little?

what are the specs? like hole diameter, mounting depth... etc.

I tried looking for specs on a Type R to get rough figures but found nothing.

Thanks

i really like the idea because i carry stuff around in my trunk all the time so i really don't want to give up alotta room to a sub box..my olny problem is i only have 12's right now, they aren't in, but i would have to get a 10 and or 8's to be able to use your setup

It's a steal compared to anything you'd pay for that box.
