hey everyone, just want to let you know that i just purchased 2 eu-700 subs from ED. I will make a box for them to see how they sound, and that may be a new option in the near future!!

I am no audio guru, so I have a question. Besides saving space obviously, are there any other benefits of this custom fiberglass box over a conventional q-logic wedge-shaped mdf box? I curently have a q-logic mdf box and I wanted to know if its even worth it. Is there a diff in sound between these two types of boxes? I guess air volume is air volume, but I was just curious.

there would be sound differences. Typically qlogic boxes arent built to spec for you specific sub and end up pretty large. This is a smaller box built to spec for any sub that can use .6 to .8 cubic feet. so you should get a tighter sound from this box. Space saving factory looking are the main benies of this box

I know you are doing this all by yourself, but are you offering ANYTHING to back your work? perhaps some sort of "warranty". I can clearly see this is a quality piece of work and I'm sure you see it the same way. So why not offer some sort of limited "warranty" or guarantee on the box? If you stand behind your work, you should have no problem with this. After all, we are sending you almost $300 for something that we hasn't even been made. I'm not tryin to come off as a dick, but I think all of us would like some sort of guarantee

anybody can offer a guarantee, but then not honor it.. not to say that he is like that.. but you'll just have to trust him it looks like good work. if it fitted in the original spot where the bazooka went without cutting.. I'd be all in

Maybe now that you've got a little time waiting for people to pay, Doug, you could possibly research forming the box without having to cut into the interior?
I'm sure it's already been discussed in the thread, but would there be a way for it to be possible that we don't have to cut so much into the rear interior? ...or would the depth of a 10" absolutely require that much room that you'd need to cut back there?

Oh yeah, Big Brother Mods, now that he's a Sponsor, do you think you could move this to SS where it'd get some more exposure?

I think you have a great product going for a good price. A lot of people dont understand the labor and work that goes into custom work. I have done a LOT of custom woodwork, solid surface and a little fiberglass and know that it takes time to do it and do it right, so those that are doubting should not.
As far as warranty, as mentioned anyone can offer one and back out, so it takes a little trust. This guy has been around these forums as long as I can remember, and as long as you have record of what you get then you should be ok. I go through the same with electronic mods. I offer a full warranty, but people still have to trust that I will back them if something goes wrong.
The only thing that would prevent me from buying this box is that I really want to do my own for the fun and to have it 100% my way But other than that I would jump all over it. And still may if I dont get around to doing one myself soon Nice work!
