Don't buy from Oznium. Computer case retailers have cathodes for half the price of Oznium for the same thing. Check out svc.com, newegg.com, etc. You should be able to get a 12" tube/transformer for less than $5.

i just went cheap and got mine from ledunderbody.com .....they're low priced and worked for last 2 years

all cathodes are pretty much the same..
there's no difference between the "automotive stuff" and the computer stuff..
(there really isn't anything i would consider "automotive stuff" when it comes to this)
they were mostly made for interior use to begin with, and in most applications they're used for... it's well... case lighting.
there's no noticeable quality that would make a cathode weatherproof compared to another..
i just don't see the point in spending more on something you can buy for less...
and i wouldn't use cathodes anyway in any places that would get exposed to the elements... "weatherproof" or not.
