Default Head unit/Electric Mirror Problem. Fast Help Appreciated.

Was workin on my tC like last week and my subs were not playing, everything looked fine, i was in the back of my car and then my whole headunit just turned off. (stock radio 2008 tC) and lost power.. I cant even turn in on anymore and now my electric mirror buttons on my switch pannel arent working.

Cant tell if this is a fuse, or whatever but if anyone can help me it would be much appreciated.. im really not sure how it happend i was not touching anything at the time the deck turned off.. so ___ without music :/

Possibly is a fuse. The panel is under the steering column towards the door. Pop your head under there and pull the cover off. Should be a 10 or 15 amp fuse.

I agree its probably a fuse, if you have a fuse tester use that, sometimes a fuse can look fine but not work. You are somewhat local, you might want to goto one of the meets (Thursday there are meets in concord if I recall correctly)

Ya pennies for fuses... you should have some spares in the actual fuse box. Equinox you have no idea how many times at work i see fuses that look fine but are shorted out. Its like a hairline fracture on the fuse and it stops working!

Yep I have seen the hairline fractures too, thats why I recommended a tester and they aren't that much usually, ive seen fuses and a tester for under $20.

I don't, after the fiasco I went through.

I installed new tail lights and blew a fuse, so I went to autozone to get a new one....They told me that a mini-fuse had blown, and melted into the fuse box....Almost had a panic attack...

Luckily both Autozone and I now know what Lo-Pro's are, and back then, they didn't carry them, and now they do!

Yay!

I think they are cool looking
