Default Heat from vents

Recently I noticed that even when the heat is off, there's hot air coming from the vents. I take a look at the temp. gauge and it's a tad over the half line. I tried turning on the a/c but I only get hot air. I checked the coolant and it's fully. What is the problem?

U must not have the recirc button pushed so that it closes the vents from the outside. If that button is lit up then they are closed, if not then they are open and thats why you are getting air from the vents...

What scioncraze05 said. Just turn the **** to the cold side and it will have outside temp. coming in.

I closed the vents so air isn't coming from the outside but it still bothers me that there's that much heat coming. I'm gonna have to take a trip to the dealer. Thanks for the suggestions.
