My friend has a small tear in the plastic textured part of her door card near the top. I was thinking of carefully heating the torn section and holding it in place until it dries. Has anyone done this?? My only concern is getting the area too hot and leaving a circle mark that is darker then the rest of the door card. btw the car is a tC.

"door card" = door panel?

If so, a vinyl repair kit might be worth a try, as they're fairly cheap at auto parts stores.
