Default help on AVIC D3 in 08 tC

i have a question that doesn't seem to be addressed in any other posts about D3 install, as well as checked avic411.

i have an 08 tC, which means i have 6 speakers (two tweeters and the ones in the door) and factory sub.

if i install the D3, will i be able to use all of this?
the reason i ask is i was reading through the install manual for the D3 on pioneers site, and it says for the power, if you have sub, then no rear speakers. this is my understanding. if i am incorrect, please correct me.

if this has be answered else where in another post, i apoligize, could you please direct me to it.

Does the 6" sub have a separate amp to power it that's not in the stock radio? if so you may not be able to connect it to the D3.

with normal hook up you will only get your components the front and coaxials in the rear... no sub... but i can assure you it could be done.. i have done it to many other cars with factory subs... such as cobalt ss, ford explorer, expedition, ect... it just takes some figuring out... my best guess is you only need to find the turn on wire and the audio signal wires... run RCA'sand remote from your deck to the sub .... splice them in...and your good to go...

yeah take out the factory headunit and see if the sub is just plugged in with a harness

the bazooka subs was like that with just a harness

The fronts and rear wll work with the d3 out of the box

the sub is spliced into the front speakers so you dont have to worry about anything.. just wire as normal just make sure the sub has a power line going to it so it turns on when the car does other wise you wont have anything coming from the sub..

Thanks all for the info.

i actually spoke with crutchfield reps, and though toyota won't release the wiring diagrams for the car internals, they have installed the D3 into an 08, and they say it works no problem. this is based on hands on research, but won't be shown on their master sheets, probably for the reason that unepectederror metioned, since it's spliced it.

Thanks for all the help. now i just need my next pay check so i can afford it.
