So I have a predicament here...I am not quite sure what Navigation/DVD unit I want to buy.
I am so horrible with comparisons especially on something so vast because they have so much things to look at. Video quality, audio quality, navigation, being able to run without the cd or with.
It is all very confusing for me so I would hope some of you audio nuts would be able to help me
I have been looking at the Avic-d3 and the AVN5510 but also understand kenwood makes a pretty nice one as well?
My price range is probably going to go up to about 800 ish due to the fact I can get all of it wholesale through a friend.
So please any suggestions would be nice

well i can see the only really big difference is the screen size and the dual drives. I say get the eclipse 5510. Big screen and dual drives. cant go wrong with that! Although the ipod integration is good for the d3. Iono i still say eclipse.
I like my D3 it can play pretty much any type of video source. It will also play tons of audio sources including DVD-mp3 discs.
Great ipod control with ipdo video.
XM and Sirus both look good on the display.
Custom backgrounds
You can adjust the lights on the D3 to match your interior
The Navigation is great
Only thing I dont like is the Eq is really basic.
Other than that its a really good unit

I am going to be getting the Kenwood DNX7100. It is listed as 1399 on Crutchfeild, but Im not sure what price you could get it for.
It has built in Garmin Navigation, DVD/CD playback, MP3, WMA, ACC. CNet reviewed it as having one of the most if not the most user friendly navigation systems available, however they poo-poo'd its multimedia select screens as being cluttered and hard to navigate. I would think if one read the directions first as a opposed to just pushing buttons, they would be able to understand the controls though.
