Default HELP ON HEADUNITS

I recently this weekend, me and my twin, both bought two 12" Hifonics subs with a 1000W Crunch amp for each. Since I haven't upgraded my head unit yet, it doesnt sound the best that it should.

What we are looking for is a flip open touch screen head unit that is good quality and at a good price. Also, does anyone know where to buy components for a good price?

Here is an example of what I need.

http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/1...lay.html?pg=10

Its the Clarion VRX755VD (p.s. I dont need one that fancy, just to do pretty much mp3, cd, aux, etc...)

I swear by Eclipse for head units.

CDT makes some great speakers for pretty cheap

I've been looking at the Pioneer DEH-P880PRS. No flip-out screen, but it does have a discrete volume dial along with a 16-band EQ and 5V preamp outputs

So I was looking around and found an Almani head unit. Does anyone know if this is a good head unit? I ask because I am seriously looking to buy this and I need to know if it is good quality, an overall badass head unit capable of gooding good quality to my audio equipment as well. Please let me know. Here are the links.

A new head unit is not going to impact the way your subwoofers sound now. If an aftermarket head unit offers more features that you want that's one thing, but its not a SQ solution.

It can help a bit with higher volt pre-outs and having an adjustable crossover...but it's not gonna make a huge difference.

eh Pioneer...they're not bad but I don't find them to be as nice as Alpine or Eclipse.

I'm not sure why you'ld get that when you can get:
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-yMCTr78...0&I=099AVN5435
For about the same price

Edit: oh the Pioneer is 6 disc...

Well, how much does sound quality matter to you?
