Default Help With Heater!

So after I bought my car I noticed that either way I turned the temperature ****, it usually stayed cold. So I know for a fact after looking up under the passenger side that the fan acuator door is moving. But when you change the temperature the acuator doesn't ever move the right amount or direction. So I know the motor works but it doesn't work correctly. Is there a way to reset this or is the motor shot? New HVAC? Any help would be awesome. Thanks.

Did you buy it from a dealer?

if you've confirmed that the blend door motor is working, but not completely, chances are that the hvac board is bad. that's all the buttons and **** connect to in the dash. might want to start looking for a board from a junkyard, since it's almost $500-600 new from the dealer.

the board has had issues before and can cause a lot of issue, but once replaced it seems to never come back to failing again.

So the HVAC is probably bad then is what your saying? Like I can just find a junkyard whole unit and buy that?

as long as you can see that the blend motor is working and isn't binding, then yeah most likely the main board "brains" of the hvac (which is what you see in the dash) is bad. junkyard but only if they tell you that the part is working. i think someone here, oh yeah engifineer knew of where they were to buy one. you could contact him, he has experience with them. here's his account :
