Default Help, ignition problem

So the Monday I get in my car and drive to work fine, no problems. Go into work take care of a few things and was about to drive across town to a meeting. I go to the car put my key in and the ignition is locked. I tried moving the steering wheel, putting the car in neutral and moving it back and forth. I called the dealership, and no offense to anyone, but all I ever get are women who tell me to move the steering wheel (I did that first, its not unlocking). I can't turn the key whatsoever and I am at my wits end. The car is under warranty at the moment (30,XXX miles). However before I have it towed to the dealership, does anyone have any useful suggestions?

I'm hesitant on taking it to the dealer because its turbo'd and I don't feel like dealing with all their crapola at the moment.

i don't know, kinda hard to blame an issue with the steering lock on a turbo kit.

maybe you actually have to get a screw driver and open up the steeringwheel lock to get in there and see whats up.

tried resetting the ecu, pulled the fuses for ignition, and just about every other fuse for that matter..

Drax, I know the turbo shouldn't affect the ignition, but I've seen the dealerships, even the one that I use, pull some shady stuff in the past.... I may pull it apart tomorrow before having it towed.

I haven't messed with the car at all.... I've been driving the blazer for the most part, I drove to Pa a couple weekends ago. I honestly wonder if one of the tumblers might be stuck, or if I possibly put the key in with a lint ball or something stuck to it and it got caught in the ignition.

get some key cleaner at your local autozone and spray your key and move it in and out of the starter quickly for a few seconds. Then try and see, if that doesnt work try spraying some directly in there.

Seems as though at 31XXX miles my ignition cylinder took a dump! It will be covered under warranty, and I'm currently beating the @#$% out of a Camry until tuesday.
