Default Help Installation

im getting a 12 inch eclipse aluminum in a downfire box and a arc audio 2100cxl amp tomorrow and i wanna hook it up right away! im not planing on getting a new deck. im just going to use the stoch HU. how do i install the amp and sub to the stock HU? my friends know how to install amps and subs but only to new HU. they've enevr installed any to stock HU's. what will i need? thanksss.

A line out converter (LOC)!

Get the David Navone ones which are one of the best.

ok so i got a remote control and line output converter. how do i install this thing? the reason why i bought it is because im trying ot run my amp and sub to my stock head unit. i neeed helppp. the wires r short. is it suppose ot be like that?

The LOC connects to the HU's speaker wires.... the LOC wil convert the signal fromt he speaker wires into an RCA signal... then you run the RCA's to the amp.... the Remote wire (ignition 12v+) will go to the amp at the "rem" terminal and then you'll need a Power cable straight from your battery + to the amp's 12v+, and a ground from the amp's Ground terminal to bare metal on the car within 3 feet of the amp.... the power cable needs a fuse in it within 18" of the battery terminal...
