Default help a newb with elec question plz

ok so ive been following this forum for a while now. which i thank everyone for all the great write uos... i cant wait to get started customizing. But i have one issue

i had a friend of mine install a sub and amp for me. i guess he spliced into the stock headunit ground for the amp ground wire and spliced into the rear driver side panel speaker with something that converts into a standard audio cable that goes into the amp as well.

that was about a month ago. yesterday i was driving to work and the radio fuse blew. so i changed the fuse. today the fuse blew again.. so i went to change the fuse.. but it did nothing.. went to lock the car with the remote key. nothing.. the alarm started going off by itself. the clock resets everytime i turn the car off. radio doesnt work. rear hatch doesnt open. thats about it. so far i think that it probably has a short where the ground from the radio is attached at some point but i have no idea where that is. i downloaded the wiring diagrams from the site but it doesnt give an exact location.

any ideas?

i could really use the help as the car is paid for and would like to not take it to the dealer.

thanks guys...

He spliced the wires from the headunit for the amp ground?
Try grounding the amp somewhere else.

you said he grounded the amp to the radio ground??? Your friend knows nothing about car audio. Ground your amp to a clean metal surface less than 12 inches from the amp. Replace all blown fuses and message me about any other concerns and I will help you out.
