Default HIDRetro - Anyone used them?

I'm looking at having HIDRetro do my retrofit for HID's. Has anyone used them and have anything positive/negative to say about them?

Thx,
Nico

Liep from HIDRetro currently has my lights and is doing a BMW E46 HID retro with angel eyes. I will let you know once I get them back.

I plan on doing a retro with them once I rack up enough money but I might wait around to see how Umnitza's Projectors' turn out.

Where did you hear these "mixed" reviews? If there is one thing I've learned about the internet, the information is only as credible as its source.

can you point me to these reviews?

Thx,
Nico

one person i heard said the botch the retro i can remember what post it was but its kinda hard to believe what they were saying. if i didnt do a retro myself i would have gone through them. i was told they would do my lights if i provide the parts for 500 bucks which is a steal in my opinion

I actually had the headlights seen in the pictures from the website, (with the S2000 projectors). I got them from someone else who had hidretro do the work. The lights were amazing and the beam pattern looked just as good as the honda. However, the projector in my left headlight started jiggling and eventually it got to the point where I couldn't take it. Both headlights than began to fog up, just like EVERY projector headlight for the xb's. I took the headlights apart and sold the pieces out of frustration and I wanted to start over. Now I have a new set and some tsx projectors. I'm going to do the project myself. If your willing to pay the money, hidretro is the way to go. I'm sure they have refined their skills by now.

I used him. I ultimately removed the HID's he built for me because I had problems with them working after I went through a car wash. I put the OME lights back on. As far as the quality of his work, I do not think the end product justified the cost IMO.

He's gone... he left after stealing 750 dollars from me.

If you want a retrofit done... go to www.customlightz.com

Well I went through him once, sent him a check and he did a great job and everything was going fine until one of the rings of my headlights blew out. I sent it back to him and according to him UPS Lost the package. Thank god for insurance. So I sent him a new headlight, new projector, and shroud and 500 to make the new one. Then he said he needed 200 to buy a BMW headlight to get the rings. 50 bucks for shipping, there's the total of 750. I waited for about 8 months and I ended up calling my father's friend in Texas, had him go to Liep's house and retrieve my headlight. Unfortunately his mother answered the door so we couldn't hound him for cash.

CustomLightz.com did my current retrofit and it is AWESOME. Unfortunately, one of the parts retrieved when my friend in texas got from Liep of HIDRetro was damaged and is now causing some issues. The guys from CustomLightz.com drove to CT from MD to install these with me and I gotta say are some of the coolest guys I've met!
