I just now learned this( relaly 4 min ago)

I went outside and tried it and it worked. Radio on*hold ssp* then turn volume **** left or right. Should be set on "tc" I switched mine to xA. That sounded much better to me. Alot more open.

Anything else I dont know about the radio???

I tried xB for a while, but went back to tC. I think I'm the only person on all of SL who likes the tC setting the best

Nope, I'm with you on that one. XA and XB settings sound too flat to me. the tc setting has a great deal more depth in the sound...

but I prefer the out-of-the-box sound of my aftermarket headunit 100x more than any of the three settings.

 

I think that setting is even in the manual for the radio But, yes, it sounds better on xA for most people I think.

You can also personalize the greeting (in the manual) and even make it display some different canned texts if you search the boards for the tips on how to do it. Mine personally says Scion in Japanese
