Default Honda SI Seat Fittment in a TC?

I know I know, its the enemy. But My buddy has an 2007 SI and I love how the seats feel. Just so happens that the local auto salvage just got a wrecked 07 SI and has the seats for sale. I am wondering do you think that they would fit in a TC or would some modifications need to be done.
Here is a pic of the seats

sorry about the pic being so small, here is the url

they looks good but you would have to cover up where it says "si" somehow.

totally agreed!
If I kept that on there, it would be like slapping a "type-r" badge on the hatch lid!!!

I am waiting on the price quote but if they are reasonable, this might be a more affordable alternative to expensive after market race seats.

You could always just say you're half-spanish and when people ask, your seats just say "YES!"

Seat covers, my man.

Move the comma on YEN price over 1 place. You have a pretty god roundabout of the american cost. Those seats are $860 and $940 respecivly

Youd need to have custom mounting brackets made for either. Youd also need the sensor eliminator they dont make for tC's if you have the side impact airbags.

If you go with the SI seats (which is no problem, there seats for christ sake, pull the stick out of your asses. I bet yall use a S2000 antenna with no problem.....) anyway, in order to put them in a tC heres what youd need

-Youd need to have custom mounting brackets made
-Youd need to go to an upolstry shop and see if they can replace the SI with something. And its much easier for an upholstry shop to work with the seats allready out of the car.
-Youd need a sensor to stop the warning light if you have the side impact air bags, and if the honda seats have them (i think they do) you need an adapter to get them to work with the toyota wiring

Youre taking on an expensive job. Dont think for a second this will be cheap. And its very possible the seats will fit aquardly in the tC to make them allmost unuseable to get to the adjustments. Something to think about

if they are embroidered on the surface of the seat, you might be able to get a blade and unstitch it that way. .lol

s2k antenna cost 20 bucks and is just screw off screw on install. It also doesn't have HONDA palstered all over it. Kinda apples and oranges there.
All I'm saying is,if he is going to spend that much money trying to fit Si seats in. he might as well be trying to fit TRD seats in, and quit giving hontards a reason to laugh at tC owners.

Theres an Si stiched into the seats... if thats what fits his body the best, and he can make them fit, go for it man.

They laugh when a Type R sticker is attached, or some idiot claims there tC has VTEC because they dont know what VVT-i is. I actually wanna see this pulled off. Si seats are very comfortable. But does he have the money for all the one off things he needs to do the swap.....

The conversion from yen to dollars is moving the decimal place over two places not one....not moving a comma

moving the comma to the right one place is the same as moving the decimal place two places to the left...

So if something is listed as 12,000,000 yen your conversion is moving the comma to the right one place, so 120,000,0.00. That doesn't equal 12,000,0.00. Then if you want to be exact it is 97,980 dollars.

And in reality that 8400 yen for those seats are 685.86 dollars.

actually, 8,400 Yen, is just shy of 68.60USD...

84,000 Yen is ~686USD...which is what you probably meant to type instead of 8,400 Yen.

8,400 yen. You can guess about 84.00 american give or take.

I lived there for 2 years. Thats the round about way to guess how much your paying. Give or take. Rough guesstimate is the key to that

in moving the comma right one space or decimal places two places left, your essentialy estimating that $1~100Y. not trying to start anything but ya, what your saying and what imagin was saying are exactly the same thing in estimating.

but yes, if you want to get technical go look at the daily exchange.

btw, those seats look comfy unlike our hard stock seats.
