how do they make emblem

This is a little off topic but since I don't have enough posts to post in general I have to post it here.

How do car company make the emblem?

injection molds would be the way. And depending on the substance of the emblem a different cast would be made, different metal casts equals different emblem materials? i hope i dont sound confusing.

i wouldnt know but I have a lexus emblem that is metal. it was an emblem for some special trim they had.

Probably just stamped from sheet metal and polished.

or they could use a mold just like as if it were plastic. just pour the melted metal into the mold

metal could be die cast, machined or forged. It probably isnt machined though, too damned expensive. I would imagine it's cast.

I want to start a business designing custom metallic emblem. I would have a website with design software to let buyers design, submit and pay.

custom emblems made from metal, would imply limited amounts made, which means the most cost effective way is likely machining, expensive...
