I want to know how to replace the light located at the shifter (automatic tc) not the dome lamp. It died on me and i don't want to start breaking the plastic around the console thanks.

Well replacing the light is a simple yet tedious procedure. Before beginning this task make sure you have the proper tools handy because you don’t want to be stuck in the middle of the project with you car ripped apart and realize you need to go to the auto store but can not because your mother inlaw is wearing the middle of the car wearing a llama suit hitting you in the face with a hammer that should be rightfully placed with in your tool box but she is such a _____ she took it out to hit you with it.
Tools needed, Hammer, Blow torch, steel wool (grade e6), new hid kit off ebay ( you want that shift light to glow baby), continuum transfunctioner, Flat head screw driver, and your wifes spatula ( she better still stay in the kitchen though even though she wont be able to cook.
Procedure. Begin by removing the rear glass defogger. You wouldn’t want this to short out on you in the middle of the procedure.. Ill explain later. Secondly removing the steering wheel and two doors from the front of the vehicle. I understand you’re a large person and you might need ample room to move around inside of the cab. After killing the fed ex guy that delivered your super high quality hid kit that was a mind blowing 40$ when it should have cost over 300$ drain 1 cup of blood from his left foot. You are going to need this as a lubricant to put the bulb in the fitting where you have removed the old bulb. Now with the blow torch melt the center console so the you wont have to replace it in the future. ( saved time suring installation. To make the new hid bulbs fit you are going to need the blood as a lubricant, and also the continuum transfunctioner will be able to help you insert the new bulb that is totally in the wrong application but hey HIDs add horsepower right? Now for a stage 7.32 weight reduction don’t install the steering wheel ( makes driving more fun) and just throw away the doors ( they are heavy and a waste of time)
Finally for the steel wool use it to wax your car it adds for a better finish.
As for the defogger.. if that were to short during the installation osama bin laden wins..

Enjoy your new shifter light Happy driving!

you can either get a new LED or stock bulb and replace it..just follow the instructions for the first half of the DIY, the other half is for the cubby light..just becareful..that clip that holds the light breaks VERY EASILY..i know..from experience lol..pretty simple job though

where it says to pull the cover out from the bottom left corner..it is a lot easier to just slowly 'pry' the sides off with your fingers..one side at a time and it comes right off

are you talking the cubby hole light? or the light that lights up the PRNDL location on the shifter itself?
