i have a first gen radio wtih no turning *****, the lame one..

but every time a song coems on xm it doesnt fit and i get____ed

how do i scroll teh right so i can read the rest of it??? thy!!!!

 

I have an 07 and I have to hold the text button down for like 3 secs and then it will go to the rest of the title. alot of the times even though the raido changes the features are simular. Good luck on that.

That is one of the most annoying things with the stock radio...especially with the iPod control features!

..on a similar and funny note..I finally figured out the stock HU also reads CD text! Originally I tried it..but it happened that the CD I tried it with did not have text on it. So all it kept telling me was "NA" or "Unknown". So I thought it didnt...then 2 weeks ago I pressed the button for some odd reason with a different CD and I noticed it was listing the tracks!

 

holding it down just makes it change to the next thing it woudl dis play if you hit ti just once...

 

It makes it scroll to the rest of the displayed text. So if your song title is too long to fit on the screen and you hold down text, it will scroll over and show the rest of the title. It doesn't make it change through track, title, album, etc.

 

Wait..are you asking if it does like an Ipod and automatically scrolls? If that is the case..then no. Only way it scrolls the text is to manually do it.

I thought you were asking about cd text at first. Not sure if it will work on xm.

 

Like engifineer said..I know it workss for CD text..and I know it works for the Ipod text, but I dont have XM/Sirius to tell you if it works with them.
