I've got a Power inverter (200W) plugged into the Cig lighter in the arm rest.

I ran the Inverter cig plug-in under the carpet and under the armrest to hide it. (the inverter is under the passenger seat)

I ran all the cables from the inverter and PS2 Slim under the carpet, arm rest and center console then behind the glove box....

It's not hard to do, but you can search on Scionlife for install pics (I don't have any right now, sorry).

There is also a way to hardwire the PS2, but I didn't know how to do it at the time I did my install, so the inverter works well for shows and such...PM me if you need help.

First you need a power converter that is correct for what your trying to power like the PS2, you can find them in best buy car audio. Next your gonna need a 10 gauge amp POWER kit not complete kit cause you will not need the speaker wire or the rca's. run the fused (LOOMED) power cable into the vehicle and over to the passenger seat.Take power converter and check to see if it will fit under the passenger seat, if it does then take the passenger seat out completely, its very easy to do just dont turn the car on while the seat is out!!! run your power wire under the carpet and make a ground under the carpet too. make your connections and secure the power converter, next run your PS2 power cable under the carpet to where ever your going to put it. Most likely if its the small PS2 you going in the glove box. make sure that the fuse is out of the power cable before you start the install. put seat in back in then put fuse in, and then test. the power converter has a switch that you have to turn on and off pluss most of them come with more than one outlet so make sure it very easy to get at.

This last sentence sounds like you are talking about a power inverter NOT a power converter.

If this is what you are thinking of, then it is a power inverter:

you can hardwire it up to the back of the cig lighter so you dont have to have it plugged in.
