well bassically i bought one of those "sub plugs" and that hooks up right to the back of the stock head unit, i'm running my power and remote wire down the right side of the car, and the bass control **** and rcas down the left side, using 4awg wire.. and i have my ground right behind the back seats? i got the amp perfectly tunned, and yes they did replace the fuse what should i do?

You mean a line output converter? That's fine. Should be connected to the speaker output.
Power wire is connected and fused directly at the battery?
Remote wire is connected to the Switched accessory wire behind the radio?
Ground wire is properly grounded to the chassis? Paint removed at the contact point?
These are the things I would check for if the car was in front of me.
Yea, a lot of problems are caused by bad grounds. This is because the connection may not be good, and the circuit tries to find another ground.
I use a wire brush drill attachment to take off the paint, but you can use a flat head screw driver, or sand paper to sand down the paint. You only need an area the size of a quarter. Make sure to take off all the paint.

I have my own opinions of why I feel what he did was not wrong, but I can go back and forth for several pages!
But shame on nobody, because we don't officially know the cause of the problem. It could have been a coincidence, or another fault. We can point fingers yet....

I agree that it's kinda silly, but there are peopl that are worried about thieves looking into their windows and seeing an aftermarket HU... if they see a stock HU, they may not even bother - not knowing that there's amps and subs/speakers in there...
Plus, there ARE other solutions that will retain the stock HU and still give you the benifits of an aftermarket, such as the Rockford Fosgate 3Sixty

Yea, I've actually had many customers (that own other cars), ask me to leave the stock unit and hide the aftermarket head unit somewhere else.
Not everyone wants an aftermarket unit, many people are happy with their stock systems... heck, people still spend lots of money on the upgraded bose systems!
