Default how much dampening needed for the tC???

i have just about everything for my system ordered except the dampening. i'm going to be using dynamat and was wondering how much i should order. i'm going to be getting the dynamat extreme bulk pack (36sqft for $110) and was wondering if 36sqft was enough. i was planning to do just the doors maybe 2 layers because i'm not too sure how bad the trunk will rattle. i had a 4runner and the rattling wasn't all that bad ( i had no dampening in it )

any opinions on how much i'll need and whether or not i should do the hatch?

why not get some edead v1se which is 1.50 a square foot. You get 2x as much for the same price. Search for a post titled "how to gut a TC" by Mandos, he has a VERY thorough walk through of gutting/sound deadening a TC

i was considering edead but i still believe dynamat extreme is still one of the best if not the best peel dampening. i've used alot of other brands for dampening and nothing held up over time as well as the dynamat extreme. but just wondering how much i would need

I used Edead v1se on my tc. I 90' does the whole car minus roof, but 120' is needed if you plan to put a 2nd layer on some key areas.

If you're stuck on Dynamat Extreme, I'd really suggest checking out raammat BXT from raamaudio.com

Rick is an awesome guy and that stuff is right on par w/ Dynamat Extreme, and only 1/2 the price.

As far as what to do in the car, click the link in my sig. Mine is done w/ eDead V1SE throughout, used around 120sq. ft. because I go overboard

wow awesome write up. hmm....i'm not sure how much i'll get then, i was thinking around 70sqft, maybe i'll just get about 100sqft and be safe rather then sorry later. that tutorial helped greatly, i'm not sure to what extent i'll be matting my car, i know i'll do probably about 2 layers to the doors the rear quarter panels and the hatch, i think that's all i'll be doing.

my system in the works:

hu: alpine cda-9855
front mid: cdt hd-6
front high: cdt drt-26
front amp: alpine mrv-f345
rearfill: cdt cl-6e
sub: aa avalanche 15"
sub amp: ????
