Default how much should i sell these for?

hey guys, i have a friend who just bought a really cheap mazda mx-6 v6 manual, and it needs a radio, so i offered to sell him some old audio components that i've had sitting in my closet for 5 years now, it is good stuff, and still is, but i just wanna make sure i charge him something fair so that neither of us feel ripped off.

i have an alpine cda-9831 radio, and a cd changer for it is an apline chm-s630.

then he might need some speakers too, and i have 2 pairs of pioneer ts-6880r 6x8 240 watt speakers (still gotta check if they fit this mazda) and a kenwood 640 watt 4 channel amplifier for it, a KAC 8401.

it was all installed and uninstalled by best buy, and has been sitting in boxes in my closet for the past 5 years since this was all in my ford explorer, and the tc doesn't have this kinda room for audio equipment.

thanks in advance for your help!

yeah, why sell it to a friend when i can just give them to a stranger on the internet...and pay for shipping and handling! whoo whoo!

this radio and cd changer are awesome, while they lack ipod connectivity, they can read mp3 formatted cd, so one mp3 cd in the head unit, and 7 in the cd changer and you have 4900 mega bytes of music storage, which is like what? just under 5 gigs?

sorry, thanks for the offer, but i'm not a drinker.

i found an auction on ebay for the head unit and the cd changer, 175 for the head unit, and 125 for the cd changer were the buy it now prices, so i'm thinking i'll offer each of them to him at 25 dollars under that as a friend discount.

you can buy the KCA-420i by alpine and hook it up instead of the changer, and wallah... you got ipod connectivity on the CDA9831.

its an older radio but still very good, if you're a good friend you can sell it for $80, if not, you wont get any more than $120. as far as the changer, you can sell it for $140-$160.

huh, really, the changer is worth more than the head unit? strange, i thought it was the other way around.

i remember spending about $700 dollars for these two items brand new from circuit city way way back ago. they sounded amazing too in my old explorer.

i dont know what changer you have, i quoted it according to what a used BMW cd changer goes for. BMW changers are made by ALPINE. Then again, Cd changers aren't in much demand now a days so you're probably right, might not be worth more than the radio. Do some quick research on the web, like ebay and find out what's the market value for one.
