Well I bought a huge mat 48x36 2x2 cf mat. I need some ideas on what to do with it. What should I do?

Lots of great things to do with it in the tC........but first did you get the proper resin for it and do you know how to work with it.......other wise your gonna toss money down the drain pretty quick.........I found a place called FiberglassForums.com and they have been great with ideas and tutorials.........give them a look.......

 

I got some surfboard resin to go along with it. CF mats are cheap. I paid 29 shipped for the huge sheet I have. I need stuff I can wrap, not to fab up a new replacement piece.

 

Yeah the surfboard resin will work from what I have read.......pretty good price on the mat for that size........I found it for $39 a yard......comes in like 32"x50" for 2x2 weave......I am looking forward to building some parts with it too.

 

Im going to mock up the mat for a dash, I think this would be nice. Since I already have a 1x1 for the gauge bezel and other parts would most likely be in 1x1 the 2x2 for the dash would be a nice contrast. Maybe the silver cf side instead of the black

 

So the cf mat I got was not enough for the dash, I decided I will try to do the mirrors and gas lid.
