On my switch one outside prong is for Ground, the other is for Power and the middle was is for whatever you're sending power to.

Ground - to piece of metal
ACC - to lights, etc
Power - to fuse/battier/etc

In the picture is my tapped fuse, and off to the right is a little screw that was sticking out, I just wrapped my Ground wire around that.

And here's the switch I used:

The LED is built in to the ACC I believe (to the neons) so when you turn the switch on, the LED also comes one.

Works the same way on my switch. Basically the prong you don't know what to do with is the Ground.

Do you have Aligator Clips?

If you do just clip everything to test it.

The middle prong should be your ACC, and one or the other end progs should be the Ground and Power, so just try switching the wires to see what happens.

Oh, ha... and is your power source constant, or do you need to turn your car on?

Could you take a pic of everything wired up?

It took me a little while to get it all figure out too, so don't worry.

By ACC he means the neon tube you are going to turn on with that switch.

You have the tube hooked up to one prong.

You have the battery to another.

Basically, all you need to do now, is hook a wire up to that third prong, and find a place to hook it up to something metal on your car. That will ground it. That is what the 3rd prong is for.

Again, the third prong is your Ground.

Take a wire and connect one end to the last prong and the other end to a screw or something metal close by.

That should do it. If everything turns on then it should be fine, if the LED doesn't but everything else does, then don't worry.

Get the important stuff out of the way first, to make sure you've gotten it all right. If it turns out to be a defective switch, then you know it's just the switch.

I got my switch from RadioShack, and it took some modifying of the old insert to get it to work.

lol, ok, the sad truth is that thoes switches do look nice, but they dont always work, alot of the time they will work innitially and just randomally stop right after, its a crap shoot getting one that works correctly, but i have taken a chrome one apart before and replaced the led and manually wired it to the headlight switch so the led is on whenever the headlights are... but that was alot of work for a cheap little part, it does look cool tho
