of course i still drive it, i gotta get to work
i just have dome light wiring dangling in my face haha...
i think when i reinstall all of this, i'm going to strategically use some double sided tape by the rib-like pieces to get rid of all the rattling.

in the first post, yes, there were wrinkles and air pockets in that picture. I have since re-upholstered them with no wrinkles or air pockets ;) originally i just sueded over the stock cloth material. As you noticed, that didnt work out too well, so i tore off the suede and the stock cloth and then sueded directly to the plastic. MUCH better outcome

well... it's been a rough week getting all this suede stuff done, work, school crap, etc etc, but the interior is finally done. I finished tonight after work at 2:30, and i've got to say, it look amazing! My 5 yards and 16" of fabric was enough to do everything but the armrest cover, and i'm sure that if i were more careful with the excesss, i could've done it.
final tally of things sueded-
headliner, A/B pillars, both pieces that make up the C pillar, door panel insert, rear seat panel insert, little triangle thingy's at the top front edge of the door panel.
i know... you want pictures. i tried taking some, but none of them came out the way i wanted them to, so i'm not going to post them. I'm actually going to a 2 day show starting tommorow up in jacksonville, and i'll be sure to take *alot* while i'm there. I'm heading out to wash/vacuum the car now (wtf? @ 3am? yeah.. i'm crazy).

the other plastic pieces int eh headliner / b pillar will be painted black, as well as the handle portion of the sunroof cover
the vinyl part of the sunroof cover will be removed, and in it's place i'd like to put something like black satin.
materials used-
1 gallon can of DAP contact cement (from home depot)
5 1/2 yards of blue suede (got it offa ebay)
bunch of 2" wide paint brushes (got a 36 pack of these from harbor freight for 10 bucks)
bunch of 1/2" #8 self tapping screws + washers (from home depot, to put door + rear panels back together)
time + patience

wrapping really wasnt all that difficult to tell you the truth. rip off the original material if present (headliner doesnt coincide with this) and if there's anything leftover, sand it off. once the surface is smooth and clean, lightly brush on the contact cement evenly. once the surface is covered completely, let the cement tack up.. lay the fabric over the piece, and push down on one edge to set it onto the piece. now you can stretch and pull the fabric to get it to fit the shape.
not hard stuff at all
