Im an Idiot, Help (Luminics)
I read all the threads about the Luminic bulbs and how they fry the stock wiring harness sometimes, or they burn out or whatever.. Well im the idiot who got the bulbs anyways and now im paying for it...I didnt upgrade my harness and of course it fried my stock harness...
So Just curious what did other people do when they came across this problem? I search...and i read about a part from the dealer called a " pigtail " ?? Is this a actual part? Can i grab something from the local Auto Parts Store? What other options do i have to fixed the problem
And yes im admiting it was all my fault, so please dont give me the " I told you so"....im an idiot i Know..
Thanx for the help in advance

thats what i did in my other tc. worked just fine! prevented burning of the harness. but the bulb died later instead.

Cut out the old stock harness that i fried and replace with the one posted above? Should work with no problems correct?

i used this..

with the stock harness and no problems.
for those too late... just buy a new harness from autozone/pep boys/etc.. etc... and just cut off old and wire in new. no need for anything crazy special.

I've been running with those bulbs for a long time now and zero problems. Maybe I'm just one of those "lucky" Luminics users,
Dang!!! 180 bux for those??? Jeeezzz....

well i had those bulbs in for about 6 months when one day i turned my car on and noticed my passenger side headlight was out... so i popped my hood and jiggled the bulb. sure enough it came back on. thought the problem was solved, little did i know that every time i turned my car on from then on out i would need to jiggle the bulb to have it come back on. so finally i took the light out and looked at the harness because i too had also heard about the problems with luminics. sure enough the harness was completely black and the wires going to the harness were on their way to melting. so i called the dealer up to make an appointment for them to check it out. meanwhile i put the oem bulbs back in to hopefully disguise my screwup of getting those bulbs but they knew lol. so they cut the old harness off and replaced it with a new one and it all works well but for 180 bucks i would have rather put my money towards better bulbs... so yeah, hope you have better luck with your experience

no i dont think it's the same thing... i chucked the luminics bulbs and put my oem ones back in, because i don't trust luminics, but if you wanna try them out again then go for it. you might have to just get new bulbs?
Well I have the luminics lol and the harnesses are already burned and melted, but I used elecrical tape to secure it. So my headlights work. hopefully these will last me a little longer till I get some HIDs.
