Will something like this

fit in the tc

and i take it the removal of the door that covers the stereo will have to be removed.

any indash that "flips out" like that u will have to remove the cover

thats y most peeps get the flat screens

yes it will fit with the door removed but I like the door....i would avoid the flip out ones...

Cut the worthless door. Double DIN screens are still stupidly overpriced.

yeah id love a double din but there expensive.

i cant see spening <1000$ on a cd player right now

It depends on what you go with. My job has a double din that i can get for 500, its not a very good one but still. Also we have a Panasonic which rated had the best screen for this years models. and that is only 700. Or you can get a Pioneer single din and spend 1500....so just because you go with a single din doesn't neccessarily mean you will save money. Just look around...Oh, prices are not discounted for me. Those are actual prices.

To get comparable single-DIN features in a double DIN, expect to spend about double. When shopping for mine, I absolutely wanted:

Dual Zone
good iPod interface/direct control
aux input

Find those three items together in a double DIN under $1000. The only thing close is the new Kenwood 8017, and it's iPod interface is an insult to humanity.
