Hey there SL. I am having some issues with my AVN5500 install.

I searched the forums to find out how to mount the Metra 95-8202 with the factory brackets for the AVN5500 and have come up short. Ive drilled the holes 1/4 inch away as specified by the small guide points. Im guessing I didnt place the brackets the rigth way because the door doesnt close. Can anybody please take a picture of their setup so I can see how the brackets where placed to go along with the Metra 95-8202?

Im also having a issue with the HU. I connected all the cables that go into the headunit and everything responded well. I powered the unit and everything was well. I unplugged the unit to organize the wires better and plugged everything back in. When i connected everything, the amp went into protection mode. I switched the stock one to see if I had pulled some wires and it worked fine. Anybody know what might be gonig on? Any suggestions are welcome!

 

There is a good forum somewhere on here for the pioneer d1 radio that gives advice on the same problem your having. just with a different radio. do a search for the pioneer d1

 

Hmm so I can find all the wires I need to wire the AVN in the bundle of cables that connect to the HVAC controls? Or are they elsewhere?
