Default installed amp and sub problem

just installed sony amp and sub in my tc, its turns on and works, until it hits 25 voluime, then the radio still is on, and so is amp but no sound?

why do you guys think that is?

to let you know i have the stock pioneer ipod upgrade from factory, we took old bazooka amp out and used those wires to use for the new amp.

could that have somehting to do with the prob?

it could be overheating, I had that problem years ago when I was into the sub and amp game, or it may not be able to handle the ohm load, who installed it and what are the specs of the sub and amp?

is it a 4ohm or a 8 ohm sub?
boostedbox06 is right with the amp could be over heating and going into protection mode.

You need to bridge your amp to your sub to achieve the necessary 4 ohm load.

That amp is not made for all of that. It is going into protection which means you are making it work to hard.

Ya what you should have done is gotten a mono channel amp for the sub and at least a four channel amp for the speakers...
