Default Installed: LMW LuxLink Remote Start *Video Uploaded*

Thanks to the folks at LMW, my tC finally has a much-needed remote start installed. Being able to startup my car while I'm still in the house and have it nice & toasty by the time I get in it is great.

I've been itching to get a remote-start/alarm system for over a year now. The only holding me back was the extra pager that came with the systems I wanted installed. I can't stand lugging around a mini-remote just to lockup my car or start it.

Fortunately, the LuxLink works with my stock Scion key. I just need to hit UNLOCK-LOCK-LOCK and my tC will startup! I have a manual but I'm told that LMW has installed this system on automatic tCs without any problems.

Unfortunately, even though my car is warmed up and ready to go each morning by the time I get in, I still have an hour-long commute through gridlock LA traffic...

I just uploaded a video of my LuxLink in action. Check it out.

Nice, but I have a few questions:

How much did you pay for it installed?
How much does the standalone unit cost?
Where can I get it installed if I buy the standalone unit only?

I got it at a sponsored rate so I can't disclose the cost. Sorry! You can call LMW to get a quote.

The unit is $275

LMW can install it for you or you can diy with the included instructions made specifically for the tC.

2beturbod,

Sorry to hear! I've always just called their direct number so I don't know much regarding their email responses. =/

Yep, my unit had an alarm and remote-start installed, making it a double ++ for me. Alarm plus ignition all controlled by my stock key.

after you remote started and locked the doors and the engine is running, does the button fob still work to unlock the doors, or do you have to use the key?

After remote starting I have 3 seconds to hit 'unlock' again to unlock the doors. If I don't, then I have to use the key.

BTW Raymond,

I hope you like the Luxlink, I pick you out from the guest that come to our shop. As for now we are currently working on a Scion Xb as well as well as a turbo for the Xb. Both should be ready within the month.
