you will need them, The stockers have the baffle built in, and they are riveted in place. I myself had a pair of these and honestly they are very cheaply made... I swapped mine for these:

Just coated them really good with paint and clear to keep the moisture out of them

I bought the ones from Elemental Designs as well. They're nice and cnc made but if you have the tools you should just make them yourself. Double check the mounting hole too because even though some component set and coaxials fit in there, my new Diamond Audio Hex components had a smaller mounting hole so I had to make another new baffles.

All you got to do is trace the stock speaker on to some mdf board and cut it out with a jig saw, it cose a whole $5 lol.

I bought the adapters that you listed from ebay and contrary to what has been previously said, I found them to be very high quality, sturdy, and a perfect fit. For $20, you cannot go wrong. I layered up some eDead on the front and back of them for additional cushion/seal and they worked perfectly.

Dont bother with the eD baffles, they're MDF which is easy enough to work with yourself. Either make your own, or go the route that you linked to.
