Its possible but might be more work than its worth. You would have to splice all wiring from factory amplifier by the sub and then slice the sub wiring.

couldn't i just splice it where the sub amp meets the head unit and hook them wires up to a set of rca's and run the sub amp out of the units rca out?

or is the sub amp not even connected to the head unit and is crossed over from the rear speakers?

any info would be great
thanks

from what ive seen with the factory sub (or at least the vst), they usually take speaker level in, so youd have to tap into the rear speaker signal. depending which head unit you choose you might be able to retain the sub control at the headunit. ive done this with the VSE bazooka sub and the avic d3. at the cost of losing his rear speakers he was able to retain sub control at the headunit and the front speakers.

its through a special plug and play harness behind the deck. when i played with the vse subwoofer it was actually tapped off the front speakers.. kinda odd but it was.

Ditch it and get the eD hidden sub. The factory sub is a nice line item, but isn't really worth keeping.
