Default installing new sub-wiring?

I had a sub and amp in my xa and just traded up to a tc. it came with the bazooka factory installed woofer and i want to take it out and put mine in instead. the wiring harness that plugs into the bazooka, can it be used to hookup a new sub or amp or does the wiring need to have a clean new install? I was thinking that the actual audio could be used and figured power would probably have to be run but any help would be great. thanks

i dont know exactly how the bazooka is wired, but if there's an RCA cable going to it, you could use that to go into an aftermarket amplifier.

Power would have to be supplied elsewhere more than likely because the bazooka's wiriing is probably far too small.

I would sell the factory sub and all required wiring, buy an amp install kit an a line-level converter.

The factory sub wiring has power, ground, speaker level inputs, and a remote lead. It is good to use if you are using the factory head unit and your amp has high level inputs. The power/ground cables are a little on the small side so you would want to run a cable from the battery and a ground cable.

LOC taps into your speaker wires. The audio shop will know what to do with it.

Plug the line output converter into the speaker wires on the bazooka harness. There is a blue wire in the bazooka harness too, that is your remote wire. You will have to run new power and ground cables. There is no reason to run new cables for anything else. 99.999999999% of people will not be able to tell you ran new speaker wires for your high level inputs.

Also, if you look closely at the wires in the harness, they are lableled.
