Default installing speakers all around

going to be doing the speaker install this wed. so here is the list of ?s as usual. lol
1. what size bolt/nut/screw should i use to hold the baffels in place?
1.a. do i have to drill new holes for the baffles?
2. what kind/size/screw should i use to hold the speaker to the baffels?
3. for the front speakers, how do i run the wire from the door to the amp? my guess is through the same way that the wires go into the door but is this easy, arnt those wrapped up tight?

so theres the list, thanks for the help in advance.

I dont know about the top 2, but that last question i can help with.

recently i ran power and grounds into the door to get some LED's hooked up. a coat hanger didnt work. What I ended up doing is taking some 4 awg wiring i had laying around the garage and taping the smaller wires to it. I then took the large wire and fed it through the rubber piece where all the switch wiring goes. pretty much anything that is kinda stiff, but can still bend a little will work just fine.

well i dont remember the size the bolt was for the baffel? And you dont have to mess with the hole already there. i ran the wire through that boot, which is the only way if you want to do that! Not that hard and i used a wire hanger! Just took the speaker wire's and taped it to the hanger then slightly pushed it in slowly untill i felt it.

good luck!

1) I used drywall screws for attaching the baffels since they are self tapping. Just predrill the holes in the baffels so not to split the wood.

2)I also used drywall screws for attaching the speakers to the baffels. Predrilled also. It goes pretty quick.

3) I used one of those snake things used for running wires in walls. A coat hanger may work as well. Just bend the tip around so that it won't punch through the rubber boot.

And you are planning on adding cathode or led light in your front door pockets you should at least run extra power and ground wires with your speaker wire.

Peep out the latest post I have in my installation progress thread. I just ran two lengths of 18 gauge speaker wire into each door and ran them back to the amp. I pulled out the rubber grommet that holds the stock speaker wiring to the door and ran the speaker wire through. Kinda hard to explain it. It might seem difficult at first, but take your time to pull the grommet out and run the wires. If you do it correctly one time, you'll never have to do it again. =P

Good luck!
