Default Instrument cluster

I just noticed the other day, that my guage needles dont swing to max and then to zero anymore when I turn on the key. Does anyone out there know what I'm describing here, and whats wrong?

I remember there being a away to disable that feature. perhaps you disabled it by accident. I don't remember what the procedure was tho.

Thanx guys, I figured it out! Apparently I didnt go to the odometer to reset my maint light! Guess thats what the "off on " thing was all about. If you hold down the odo reset button while turning the key to "on", and a trip odo is displayed, it turns off the needle swingy thing.
