i thought it was the opposite, that up to 07 tc's had the regular size fuses, and now the 08's have the mini blade fuses, i was thinking on using a add-a-circuit, i was going to get the one for mini fuses, because someone told me thats what the 08 has, but now you say it does no longer take the mini blade fuses, i would appreciate it if you would let me know which to get, here they are:

Add-A-Circuit Fuseholder for ATO/ATC Fuses

or

Add-A-Circuit Fuseholder For Mini Fuses

the add-a circuit mini fuses will work for 05-07 for sure, i have that....i havent looked at the 08 fuse box but should work the same with the mini fuses on the side...if not, run power from the battery through the grommet and get an inline fuse

there are so many ways of going about it

oh i forgot to mention you can buy the mini add a circuits at pepboys/autozone/discount autoparts for about 8-10bucks...or an inline fuse for about 3 bucks...i used an inline fuse and ran the wire through the grommet because im cheap hehe but u can do either one, the add a circuit is less messy and takes less time

mk yeah i wasn't saying to get the fuse tap for mini fuses, i was referring to the blue piece separate from it. that's a crimp on connector used in many applications. and lemme check....yep said that in the post.

ok... here is the deal.. i want to get some interior and engine bay light upgrade....

i have a deal with a guy whos working for scion: hes gonna install the oem light kit for me for free... but..

i want lights in my engine bay too.. and maybe lights under the seats...
so..

it would be easier to install an oznium kit to everywhere than install the oem kit, right?? i dont even want cupholder lights...

so i would buy one 12" kit (it has two of the 12" cathode for under dash..)

plus a 4" kit ( it has two 4" cathode for under seats)

and an extra 4" kit for the engine bay.. or i should go with a 12" kit for the engine bay? or maybe two 4" kit????

this what i need: right:

the cathode kits
plus two Scion OEM Style LED Rocker Switch (1 for the interior one for the engine bay cathods)
plus two ATC Fuse Holder for each set (1 for interior 1 for engine) (or i would need 3 because the under seats kit has another transofrmer????)
plus two 3 amp ATC fuse ( or three?)

i would need extra cable? 4 gauge? 8 gauge? 18 gauge? plus ring terminals?

the engine bay kit would be hooked up to the battery.. so i need one atc fuse with the fuse holder plus the ring terminal.. right??

for the interior.. if i have two transformer.. then i need to use two fuse holder with two fuses or i could just connect 2 fuse holder together and put 1 fuse to the top?? do i need ring terminal for the interior kits?

Sounds like you understand how to wire it, that's good. How many cathodes to get depends on how much light you want. Generally I would double up with the cathodes tbh. 1 kit per side. As for the engine bay, I don't have much experience but I would guess 1 4" kit would be barely noticeable unless your engine is made up of mostly high-gloss custom parts...

Dont get the 4" kit get another 12"kit. it will fill the under seat area well. If you are ordering from Oznium I would also get one more 12" kit for extra cathodes. I've had 2 break due to feet kicking them ( I have children).

one fuse will be enough for the three kits...16-18 gauage should be enough for the cathode kits......i recommend you dont buy cathodes for the engine bay and instead buy led strips because they are easier to mount and already waterproof, cathodes are NOT waterproof and need to eb waterproofed before mounting in the engine bay....12 inch cathodes fit perfectly udner the seats i did that for my friend, it looked great

Nothin against, you. Seem like a good guy. Just don't need everything pre-wired anymore if this is what happens to it. Rather be able to blame myself for a malfunction.

i dont really care about the under seats kits.. 4inch kit should be enough!!

about the engine bay.. i wouldnt get leds because they die because of the heat... so i ordered everything already...

one 4 inch kit for the engine bay

1 4 inch under seats and one 12 inch under dash

plus 1 led for the light wich is below the a/c control unite

oh and i will get some silicone so i'll make them waterproof... only thing what im worried about.. the transformator would get too hot and failure if i make it waterproof?

Never heard of randode, might be what I need to install them. I ended up buying oznium and got confused and shiped em back. A friend couldn't even install them for me but he was afraid of my knee airbag for what ever reason.
