Default ipod shuffle work with tc?

I have a 06 tC, never really thought about getting an ipod til now, apple is selling 2gb refurb shuffle for 39$ XD. Can someone tell me if shuffles work with tC and if they recharge automatically in the car while playing? or if the shuffle even works with tC?

You can use your iPod shuffle with the auxiliary port but not with the iPod interface. . . .The interface is only for any iPod that has a port for a standard iPod cable, however the shuffle doesn't have that. But anyway you can still use your iPod shuffle if you plug it into the AUX wire.

Hope This helps

hmmm...this doesnt charge while playing does it? the MP3 has a special hole below it to charge, other end of the wire is USB. pretty sure there is an adapter for the smoke lighter for that. but the smoke lighter hole thing in the compartment inbetween the driver and passenger car sets dont work. I asked my uncle that works with cars about fixing it but he didn't even wanna take a look at it. Said it might take alot of time and money to fix...=[

No the aux port will not charge any MP3 player. However there is also a cigarette lighter right behind the shifter in the space beneath the head unit. . .

Oh and btw if your cigarette lighter isn't working it could just be a blown fuse. The fuse box is located directly under the driver side dashboard, just pop off the cover and replace the corresponding fuse

Its a 06, I bought it used from someone...not sure about the warranty.

I know about the one under the head unit. I have my GPS plugged into that one all the time cuz I use it for work. Thanks for the suggestion on the fuse box though, I would never have thought of that =D I'll look into that. It'd be better if I could just leave my MP3 in the middle compartment cuz that way no one will be able to see that I have one incase I leave it hanging somewhere.

I have another question!!: I just bought an AUX wire to connect my MP3 player to the car, but the volume is hella soft...is it like that with an ipod too? I usually have the volume on my MP3 player at around 13-15 and 20 in the car. When I bring it up to 20 on my MP3 and 30-35ish on my car its still pretty quiet....and weak

Turn your mp3 player all the way up...
Shouldn't be THAT quiet.

yea just make sure that your mp3 player is turned up all the way and it should be fine. . . also there is sometimes a volume limit set on mp3 players that limits how high you can set the volume, so just make sure that you have the volume limit turned off
