Im currently putting a system together for my tc and have a question about which sub to use. I am looking to use either a JL Audio 10w6 or a JL Audio 10w7. Does any one have a preference on which one to use. As far as sound goes, I like good crisp sound. For door speakers im going with Focal. Does any one have anything negative to say about Focal. Thanks for your replies.

 

if you like listening to a wide array of music...go with the 10w7...if you only listen to hip hop, then try the 10w6...it's more bassy. the 10w7 is a lot punchier and crisp

 

If this is the case, then why is the 10W7 considered and SQL sub and the 10w6v2 is considered SQ? I know of at least 3 top SQ competitors who use the w6v2, both of them use the 12 though, and not one SQ competitor who uses the W7.

I'd go with the 12w6 v2... cheaper and you wont notice THAT much of a difference with the w7.

I listen to everything from country to hip hop.

Thanks for the replys.....Im leaning towards the w6.....has any used Focal speakers before....I am also thinking about using them for my door speakers

 

focal has some excellent speakers depending on which ones you're looking at... I feel thatif you're looking at any of them other than the poly kevlar's or utopias, then a set of Elemental Designs eD(i)6500's might be a better set for the $$$

 

i have the poly's front and back. they are really nice, def. reccomended
