JL System Pics.....finally!!!
Hey guys!!! I finally got some pics of my system.....here ya go!!!
the car

the Kenwood KDC-X879 CD/MP3/WMA player

the door mounted crossover...components mounted in factory locations

my amp rack from inside the car

angled shot of my subs--2 JL 12w3's in the JL High Output Wedge box

and finally a straight on shot of the subs in box

I covered the box myself and built and covered the amp rack myself too.....not too bad for someone with no carpentry/covering experience.....

sounds great!!!! hits a 143.6 with the shiz turned up.....or I can balance it all out for rock/easy rock and it sounds great like that too......Midbass response from the JL Comps is really smooth and even, overall I like it!!!!

ack,
The box I couldn't do anything about....it's Built by JL for these subs....I either had to loose the back seat or loose the spare tire.....
I like having the crossovers visible.....that's something I've always done.....

I was going to give you grief about the covering looking "averge"
but the fact that you did it yourself just blow me away!
That's really quality work bro! I was expecing you to say
that you paid tall cash for having a shop do it. You did great!
I'd like to hear it in person!
My setup is weak compared to that. I need to invest some
tall cash into my setup, I've just got too much other stuff
going on right now to do that.

no need for tall cash raven..... I only dropped $500 for everything but the HU..... Value competitions taught me well....I once hit a 150.4dB on $250.....that's amp, sub, and enclosure......
damn ben ... you finally got it covered huh ?? looks good man !! .. and just to let everybody know, that thing makes my huevos shriver up when it pounds .. LOL ... good job man. Oh and you have competition w/ justin. His things is CRAZYYYYYYYY !!! omg
Seems good, but you are going to have problems later on with the Xovers in the doors like that. Xovers are a sensitive peice of equipment, being mounted on something that is slamming constantly with effect it.
Very good for doing it yourself though.
