Default Just got Alpine IVA-W200 touchscreen installed...

I would have posted pics but the camera is acting crazy and I don't feel like messing with it.... sooooooo.... I will give you my first impressions.... this unit looks absolutely B-U-TI-FUL.... I ordered the trim kit somebody said you would need but you don't... no gaps on side... 1st big noticeable change... SOUND... the stock speakers sound 20 times better than the used too... 2nd big change... iPOD search.. this unit works SO MUCH better... jump from A to Z in a touch.. gotta love it... I downloaded some wall papers from the alpine site that look exactly like orange LED lights in the car... no need to change them....

DVD picture and sound look great... hadn't had much time to mess with this... I'll let you know....

1-10 rating.... 100

I agree... the iPOD support is INSANE on the deck.... Did you get the override installed as well?

It's cheap and easy.... check out the PAC override.... I turn on my car and it's like it was never limited in the first place.

My friend just got one of these put in his lexus gs and I must say, it is a beautiful HU. The only issue now if that we can't find the shuffle setting for the ipod support. It's practically impossible to dig through like 1,000+ songs to find the exact one you want to listen to while you are driving though.

One more feature that I thought was pretty neat is when you hit a button on the touchscreen, it actually feels like you are physically pushing a real button.

The Ipod support acts just like a real iPod... you can search by artist, album, playlist, all of the same on the ipod, and scroll a-z in a second...

I've never used the shuffle on my iPod anyways... I have about 4400 songs and can get to what I want faster on my Deck than I can on my iPOD... With XM and DVD, and only 650 with a BB discount... it's the best deck IMHO by far, unless you compare with $1500+ decks

Yes, with an optional superexpensive nav module, or even better, with the new alpine blackbird, which can be docked in more than one car, and when docked with the optional adaptor to the W200, you can control the blackbird with the touchscreen of the deck....

so.... $700 for the blackbird and $200 for the docking station for the W200... and you're good to go for NAV... (I can live without it at this point)

900 retail, but cost is somewhere near 630 bucks, so try to find someone who works for a stereo shop/best buy... BB discount is 650, which is a GREAT price... just hard to find.

Double Din Touchscreen FM/XM/iPOD/Dvd with nav capability, fits in the tC with the door, touch feedback feature, better and faster iPOD support than any other deck, Aux/in/out connections, front/back/sub preouts, customizable background, and cheaper than almost any other deck, and with a BB discount... FAR Cheaper than any other deck, and Alpine to boot.

Just a great deck... and people like it.
