Anyone know if the JVC KD-AVX1 will fit ok and allow the cover to close still?
Thanks

i have the avx2 and the cover shuts completely as long as you have the face plate off.

Now the only reason for this is because of the way the dash kit is made....

If you do NOT use a dash kit, I've seen the deck with faceplate clear fine. Just takes a lil trial and error if you do it that way. Do a search for the avx2 on this forum there is a guy who got it and did like a carbon fiber surround to cover the gaps without the dash kit...pretty neat.

Me personally....that faceplate never goes more than 5 feet from my person. If I'm not in the car, it's in the case and in my back pocket or stowed away at work or home. That's why I opted for the dash kit...you get a nifty lil pocket and it saves time on install....I'll warn you about the dash kit...it takes a tiny bit of "elbow grease" to get it in there but it fits, trust me. :-) If you need any assistance, please don't hesitate to PM me. It took me a while to wire everything...I ended up doing the entire wiring job in the kitchen lol.

Hope this helps.
